Late last year, news broke that former USA Gymnastics doctor, Dr. Larry Nassar, was accused of sexually abusing more than 140 women. Nassar’s victims included several top gymnasts including Olympic gold medalists McKayla Maroney and Aly Raisman.

During one of Nassar’s court appearances on Tuesday, January 16th, dozens of victims confronted the ex-doctor face-to-face. As the young women looked at him—many with tears and rage—and told him directly how much he destroyed their lives, Nassar reportedly refused to make eye contact, stated ABC News.

Kyle Stephens, another one of Nassar’s victims who was a family friend, gave a powerful testimony that made national headlines. Stephens was sexually abused by Nassar for 6 dreadful years—from ages 6 to 12.

Stephens attempted to tell her parents about the abuse, but Stephens said Nassar had “convinced her parents that she was a liar” and they did not believe her. After Stephens’ father learned the truth about Nassar’s actions, he committed suicide.

“You used my body for six years for your own sexual gratification. That is unforgivable," Stephens stated. “I have been coming after you for a long time,” she said listing off the several times that she had tried to report Nassar.

“I testify [as the only nonmedical victim to come forward] to let the world know that you are a repulsive liar...Perhaps you have figured it out by now, but little girls don’t stay little forever. They grow into strong women that return to destroy your world,” the abuse survivor concluded.

“Fuller House” actress Candace Cameron Bure shared the video of Stephens’ testimony on her social media page. Bure captioned the video, “Wow. this is so powerful. Thank you Kyle for being so courageous, strong and brave.”

Other well-known celebrities also commended Stephens for her powerful testimony including actor Sean Maguire (Once Upon A Time), author Cynthia Bond (Ruby), and Olympian runner Kara Goucher.
