Actress Candace Cameron Bure, best known for her role as DJ Tanner on “Full House” and “Fuller House,” is often recognized for her strong Christian faith and conservative values. Formerly co-hosting “The View,” the actress has no shame in expressing her faith in Jesus Christ and aligning political opinions.
Recently, Bure opened up about how her faith impacts her family. The “Fuller House” star is currently married to her husband of 20 years — professional hockey player Valeri Bure — and they share three children together: 16-year-old Maksim, 18-year-old Lev, and 19-year-old Natasha.
Like many other marriages, Bure’s has its difficulties; she and her husband, of course, have differences even in all of their stardom. Ultimately, the two work together to encourage their children to communicate with their parents, raise them up as good people in this ever-changing world, and teach them the significance of using their voice, reported PEOPLE.
However, the solution to their dilemmas is always the same: God.
“The reality is — the glue for [our family] is Jesus,” she told PEOPLE. “It’s the Bible. You know, when there are arguments or we’re compromising and in ways, it’s always like, ‘Well, let’s just go back to the Bible.’”
“It’s the foundation for us,” Bure continued. “So it’s not about winning or losing. But doing this journey together.”
This isn’t the first time Bure and her husband have publicly expressed their faith in Jesus Christ. In 2017, the couple made national headlines for wearing adorable “Jesus Saves Bro” matching T-shirts.
