Disney channel fans are devastated after learning of the passing of 20-year-old Cameron Boyce. His family confirmed the tragic news in a statement on Sunday, July 7th, reported Fox News.
Boyce was best-known for his starring roles in the hit television series “Jessie” and the “Descendants” movies. He was also cast in several films including “Grown Ups,” “Eagle Eye,” “Judy Moody,” and “Dolphin Tale 2.”
Boyce was found dead in his sleep. He reportedly had “a seizure which was a result of an ongoing medical condition." Details regarding his medical condition were not immediately released.
"It is with a profoundly heavy heart that we report that this morning we lost Cameron," a spokesperson for the Boyce family announced.
"The world is now undoubtedly without one of its brightest lights, but his spirit will live on through the kindness and compassion of all who knew and loved him," the family said adding that they are “utterly heartbroken.”
Celebrities and fans flooded social media with honorary tributes for Boyce. Comedian Grayson Dolan and internet personality Thomas Sanders were among those who shared a post for him.
