3 Elementary School Kids Die After Being Struck Waiting for the Bus

A tragic story is coming in today out of Indiana. A group of elementary kids has been struck while waiting at their bus stop. Sadly, 3 of the 4 children who were hit have now passed away. The kids are said to be siblings: a 9-year-old girl and her twin 6-year-old brothers.

"The children were at a Tippecanoe Valley bus stop near State Road 25 when they were struck by a vehicle, according to FOX59. Three children died and one child was reportedly airlifted to a Fort Wayne hospital. It wasn’t immediately clear which school the children attended," reported Fox News.

Investigators have been looking into the details of the event. At this time, the cause of the accident has not been released. They have also not released the name of the driver who was alleged to have hit the children.

“ISP is investigating a fatal crash in Fulton County. Preliminary info is three children were struck & killed at a school bus stop near 4600 N State Road 25," the Indiana State Police said in a tweet, according to Fox News. “PIO Sgt. Tony Slocum is at the scene. Updated and confirmed info will be sent via news release later today.”
