A tragic accident has just occurred in Portugal. According to reports, a bus carrying tourists has plunged off of a cliff.
Officials have now revealed that 28 people have died at this time. More people were also injured during the accident.
Reports from the scene suggest that the bus was filled with German tourists who were sightseeing around the island. The driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle before it flew off the cliff.
"Pictures from the scene show the vehicle on its side. Video also shows people being carried away on stretchers by firefighters. It is understood passengers are still being removed from the coach. The incident happened near a botanical garden in the hotel district in Canixo, a quiet coastal community in the south-east of Madeira known as Canixo de Baixo," according to the Mirror.

"At least 14 ambulances are said to be at the scene, near the Quinta Splendida Wellness & Botanical Garden hotel. A massive cordon has been set up, while shocked locals have gathered nearby," reported the Mirror.
