Build-a-Bear's announced a massive one day sale. They heavily marketed the sale where children would only pay their age to make a bear.

However, their marketing was so successful that they had to shut the sale down. The sale has been canceled in many locations due to the number of people that showed up, reported USA Today.

"Please be aware: Based on the unprecedented response to our Pay Your Age Day event in our early opening stores, we are experiencing significantly longer than expected lines and large crowds. Local authorities are requiring us to limit the lines and crowds due to safety concerns. We understand this is disappointing, we are working to address the situation, and we will be reaching out to our valued Guests soon."

The message went out about 11:30 a.m.

Thousand of parents had lined up with their excited children to make a bear. They were obviously excited for the sale only to be turned away.

Parents from the U.K. and the U.S. were pretty angry about the cancelation. They felt betrayed by the company after waiting in line and getting their children's hopes up.
