Prayers Needed: Brutal U.S. Storms Tragically Claim Several Lives Including Children — and It's Not Over

Prayers are needed as a number of cities in the United States are currently suffering from deadly storms. As of Sunday, April 14th, at least five people have died, including three children.

Their identities were not immediately released to the public. However, it is known that two of the victims, a 3-year-old and an 8-year-old, died in Texas after a tree fell on top of their car. They were sitting in the backseat while their parents were up front.

At least four others were injured as a result of the storms. Unfortunately, the storms are not yet over and the injury/death toll is expected to rise in the upcoming days.

According to CNN, roughly 90 million people in different cities — including major cities such as New York City, Washington D.C., and Atlanta — are at risk for severely destructive weather as the storms move northeast. Areas that have already been hit include southern states like Texas and Louisiana.

Please pray for all of those in the path of this deadly storm system! May God protect them in His loving arms. Let us remember Matthew 8:26-27 amidst the storms.

“He replied, ‘You of little faith, why are you so afraid?’ Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm. The men were amazed and asked, ‘What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!’” (Matthew 8:26-27)
