Britney Spears Slams Sister Jamie Lynn W/ Cease-And-Desist Letter: You’ve used her to make a monetary gain!

Pop icon Britney Spears40-year old actress has reportedly had her lawyer involved with the memoir drama together with her younger sister, actress Jamie Lynn Spears. With new details BritneyLeakage is a constant problem Jamie Lynn’s Things I Should’ve Said, the “Toxic” singer has reportedly served her sister with a forceful cease-and-desist letter.
Since Jamie Lynn’s revealing sit-down with Good Morning America, BritneyShe took to social media to voice her opposition to the book. She also stated that much of the information about her was false, defamatory, and a sales ploy.
The legal document allegedly reads as follows:
“Although Britney has not read and does not intend to read your book, she and millions of her fans were shocked to see how you have exploited her for monetary gain. She will not tolerate it, nor should she.”
“You of all people know the abuse and wrongdoing Britney had to endure during the conservatorship, after initially growing up with a ‘ruinous,’ alcoholic father. In fact, your own book reportedly states that your father ‘spent most of my life in that cycle of ruinous behavior. His bouts of drinking caused me periods of torment and sorrow.”
The letter continues with:
“As I have previously stated, having endured a 13-year conservatorship that stripped her of civil rights and fundamental liberties, Britney will no longer be bullied by her father or anyone else.”
It also adds:
“Britney was the family’s breadwinner and she also otherwise supported you. It is wrong to publicly air false or fantastical grievances, especially when it is done in order to sell books. It is also potentially unlawful and defamatory.”
It concludes with:
“You recently reportedly stated that the book was ‘not about her.’ She takes you at your word and we, therefore, demand that you cease and desist from referencing Britney derogatorily during your promotional campaign. If you fail to do so or defame her, Britney will be forced to consider and take all appropriate legal action.”
According to reports, the order was dated Jan. 17. News of the letter’s alleged existence comes a day after sources reportedly claimed that Jamie LynnHe has no interest in a book tour. The former Zoey 101 Star also said that her goal was not to make a profit on the book.
