August 17, 2017Aug 17, 2017

On Thursday, ISIS claimed responsibility for a terrorist attack in Spain. 13 people were killed and dozens more were injured when a terrorist drove his van down a crowded city street in Barcelona.

The particular street he attacked was a known hang out for tourists. In the hours after the attack, Spanish officials have been working tirelessly to find those responsible.

Now, a breaking news story is developing after Catalan police foiled a second terrorist attack. According to reports, five people have been arrested.

“The force said that the shootings were linked to an imminent terror attack in Cambrils, a small port town around 70 miles south of Barcelona. Six civilians and a police officer were injured - two seriously - when the attackers ran them over in a car before police shot them dead,” according to news reports.

The men were also wearing explosive belts. They have officially been linked to the attack in Barcelona, according to the BBC.

Authorities are now linking the two incidents to a third event that took place earlier in the week. A bomb exploded in a house and left one person dead. It now appears that terrorists were responsible for the explosion.
