The Texas A&M University System has taken a bold stance. According to new rules posted on their website propose that "the licensed carry of concealed handguns will be allowed" at all their institutions beginning in August.
The rules further states that guns are not banned from classrooms or dorms. Texas A&M, though, does provide a list of times and places where guns as forbidden, such as child car facilities, counseling centers, formal hearings, and near laboratory-strength magnets.
These proposals will be considered by the Board of Regents this month.
