Last week during a Rascal Flatts concert in Hamilton County, Indiana, things ended abruptly after a scare that sent everyone home early.
According to investigators, it was confirmed that a bomb threat was called in. People were ushered out of the arena prematurely.
NBC News affiliate WTHR reported that the venue, Ruoff Home Mortgage Music Center, was evacuated before the band could perform its encore. Fans took to social media to voice their displeasure.
To date, the police department will not release how the threat was made or reported. Other information as well is “integral to the current open investigation.”
“Once the concern was made known, venue, security, and law enforcement personnel took planned and appropriate action for the safety of concert guests and the artists,” said the police department.
Previously, the police department had reported that the venue had been evacuated due to a “safety issue.”
Police have requested that anyone with information regarding the incident is encouraged to call the sheriff’s department Investigations Division at 317-776-9887.
