“It’s a lot of work [but] I mean, it’s not hard in that we all dress ourselves every morning,” she told WWD2018 “So once you have the clothes, you just pick out what to wear like any other human being does. But it’s easier because you have access to clothes so it’s not that hard.”
She continued: “The hard part is going through all the fashion shows and screenshooting all the looks you like and calling them in. I have an assistant who assists me in calling in the looks. But a lot of it is I have relationships with the designers.”
The reason she’s yet to seek out help? Well, she chalks it up to “control issues and a big ego.” But with a love for fashion and impeccable taste, it’s no surprise that the Gossip Girl alum hops on the chance to “be creative.”
Although she has many looks, her 2018 Met Gala outfit was her best. For fashion’s biggest night, she stunned in an Atelier Versace gown that oozed opulence. And given that the beaded dress took a full 600 hours to make, it’s no surprise that Lively made her mark has red carpet royalty.
