A strange accident took place on Sunday morning in southern California that is leaving viewers scratching their heads. A car lost control, went airborne, and landed in the second story of a dental office.
The accident took place in Santa Ana, California. Immediately after it took place, the Orange County Fire Agency arrived on the scene in order to help rescue one person who was still trapped inside of the vehicle, as well as another person who was injured.
According to TIME, the police department said that the car "was traveling at a high rate of speed" when it hit the center divider in the road, causing the car to go airborne. Reportedly, the driver "admitted to using narcotics, and will be admitted to a local hospital for observation."
The crash caused a small fire, but it was quickly put out. Both of the passengers in the vehicle were eventually evacuated safely and only suffered minor injuries.
According to TIME, the Los Angeles County Urban Search and Rescue team joined up with the Orange County fire officials to remove the car from the building.
Reportedly, toxicology tests are currently being run. After they are complete, they will be submitted to the Orange County District Attorney's Office in order to determine the appropriate charges.
