Ten months ago, Billy Bush and wife Sydney Davis separated. Now, they are calling it quits.
According to court documents, irreconcilable differences is the cause for the split. Bush’s character was put into serious question after the infamous “Access Hollywood” bus audio depicted him laughing at Donald Trump’s lewd comments toward women.
Bush was fired from that job due to a breach in his “morality clause” with NBC. He was given millions in a severance package, according to Fox News.
In addition to spousal support, Davis is asking for joint legal and primary physical custody of their two daughters Lillie, 13, and Mary, 17. They also share an adult daughter, Josie. Bush will retain visitation rights.
"After almost 20 years of marriage they have separated for the moment to evaluate their life together," a rep for Bush wrote. "They love each other and their children deeply and are committed to a bright future."
When Bush was terminated from NBC due to his lewd on-camera exploits, it was reported by Page Six that his “locker room talk” infuriated his wife.
“Billy Bush’s wife, Sydney Davis, was furious about the tape. Not just because of what was said, but because he was stupid enough to put himself in that position. It wasn’t just the . . . vile talk, it’s because he insisted the woman hug him and Trump,” an insider from NBC told Page Six.
“It was creepy. She was so furious that she refused to speak with him for a while — and she’s still furious. They are having marriage problems. He didn’t apologize to her for the embarrassment he caused in his statement. And she hasn’t released a statement at all,” the insider continued.
