There's good news for Marie Osmond after a hard blow in April. The singer, who announced in April that she'd lost her best friend, is joining The Talk as a new co-host replacing Sara Gilbert.

Osmond said in a statement: “It is such a joy for me to be joining THE TALK in September. After guest co-hosting and appearing as a guest on the show throughout the years, I am thrilled to now call this my day job."

She continued, “I look forward to working with Sharon, Sheryl, Eve and Carrie Ann, who are such smart, strong, talented women whom I immensely respect. I cannot wait to share this exciting new chapter with the viewers and the CBS family.”

Osmond, 59, will join season 10 alongside Sheryl Underwood, Carrie Ann Inaba, Sharon Osbourne, and Eve.

This comes after Sara Gilbert announced that she'd be leaving the show she helped create after nine years. She wants to focus on her career as an actress and producer.

“I’m nervous. This is hard to do and something that I have been struggling with for a while and going back and forth. But I’ve decided that it’s time for me to leave the show at the end of the season,” said Gilbert, 44. Her last show will be Aug. 2.

In March, Osmond announced her own career change. She announced that she and her brother, Donny Osmond, would be ending their longtime Las Vegas residency after over a decade. Their last show will be on November 16, 2019.

April was a tough month for Osmond. On April 14, she announced the sad news that her best friend, Kimmy, had passed away.

“Waited until now to post this, but today I said goodbye to my best friend Kimmy,” she wrote along with broken heart and crying emojis.

“He left this earth for a better place and although my heart is breaking and I know this hole in my heart will never be filled, I am so happy that he was able to leave this life knowing he was loved," wrote Osmond along with several sweet photos of them together.

The Talk airs weekdays at 2 p.m. ET on CBS. Congratulations to Osmond!
