A quick glance at the responses will reveal how the public reacted to her post. While it may have seemed to some she was judging mask wearers negatively, she wasn’t. She was simply pointing to how sad it made her feel that mask wearers (especially elderly and children) still need them, many years after this pandemic.

Frankel was not condemning the use of masks. She was simply expressing her sadness at how little has changed since the start of the pandemic, though perhaps she could have worded it a bit better, but we do agree, it’s disheartening to be over two years into this thing with no sign of respite.
