According to TMZ, Duane "Dog" the Bounty Hunter's wife is not expected to make it. Beth Chapman has been battling throat cancer.
According to family sources, doctors do not expect Beth to recover and leave the hospital. Her family is preparing to say goodbye to her.
Beth's mother has flown from the mainland U.S. to Hawaii to be by her daughter's side. Her children and grandchildren—many of whom also live in Hawaii—are also gathering at the hospital.
Beth Chapman had been placed into a medically induced coma. Beth Chapman is in the intensive care unit of Queen's Medical Center in Honolulu, CBS affiliate KGMB reported Sunday. Dog tweeted out a request for prayers for her.
A representative for the family released a statement Saturday night saying that only immediate family have been given access to the 51-year-old.
The family asked the general public to "please pray for Beth" while also sending "sincere thanks to everyone for their prayers throughout Beth's battle with cancer," the statement said.
Beth has been fighting cancer since November 2018 when a previous throat cancer return. She had surgery in 2018 to remove the cancer, but she was hospitalized in April to remove fluid that had accumulated in her lungs.
Her husband posted a statement about it on his Facebook, according to a local Fox affiliate.
“Beth was hospitalized Saturday due to an accumulation of fluid in her lungs,” the statement read. “Doctors performed an emergency procedure to alleviate pressure that had built up.”
The statement continued, “She is now at home resting with her husband. She and [Duane] are so grateful for the thoughts and prayers from their fans. Keep them coming.”
Family sources say there's not a lot that can be done for Beth and at this point. The family is making medical decisions with the help of her doctors.
Earlier in the day, Dog posted a pic of Beth's hand as she lay in her hospital bed with freshly painted nails, with the caption, "You all know how she is about HER NAILS!!"
