Actor Ben Affleck Claims That The Media Was Responsible for the 2004 Breakup With Jennifer Lopez

Actor Ben Affleck49-year old recalled the end to his relationship with Jennifer Lopez, 52, in 2004 now that they’re back together. Their breakup BenAccording to reports, they said:
“I would say [media attention]It was around 50 percent [of what destroyed our relationship].”
He continued:
“The idea that people hate you and they hate you together and that being together is poison and ugly and toxic and the thing none of us want to be part of. And ‘who the f**k would want to have them to dinner?’ And ‘what the f**k are they doing together?’”
Their first relationship–which began in 2002 when they met on the set of Gigli–caused a media frenzy. They were on every cover of every magazine, until they split two years later. The couple were engaged in 2003. They called off their engagement one day before their wedding date in the following year. At the time, they stated that their wedding would be postponed due to “excessive media attention.”
Nearly twenty years later, newspapers are abuzz about a surprising return of Bennifer. BenHe said he was worried about their media-attracting romance. He had three children to think about this time. Radio personality Howard SternHe reportedly replied that he never hesitated to be asked about the differences in his life.
“It crossed my mind for sure. My greatest responsibility is to my children. I don’t want to do anything that is painful or destructive to them if I can help it.”
He said:
“That being said, I know that my life affects them.”
