First, they fell in love on "Game of Thrones." Now they're married in real life!
Over the weekend, actors Kit Harington and Rose Leslie tied the knot, reported People. The couple, who met on the set of the award-winning show, were married at Kirkton of Rayne church in Scotland.
The star-studded celebration, which includes many of their Game of Thrones costars, is set to continue at the bride’s family’s castle.
Rose Leslie was the picture of beauty and grace in a gorgeous, long-sleeved lace dress fit for a princess. The 31-year-old wore a floral garland around her head topped with a floor-sweeping white veil.
The groom was equally formal in a black jacket, a cream-colored vest, and a pair of striped pants.
Following the ceremony, the couple and their guests will continue the fairytale wedding at nearby Wardhill Castle.
The old-fashioned style of the brides dress and the castle reflected the couple's style. When they announced their engagement in 2017, they used a classified advertisement in The Times to make the announcement.
The actors got together in 2012 while their characters were together on Game of Thrones. They waited until 2016 to confirm their relationship.
Harrington revealed that they fell in love while filming season 2 of the show in Iceland.
“Because the country is beautiful, because the Northern Lights are magical, and because it was there that I fell in love. If you’re already attracted to someone, and then they play your love interest in the show, it becomes very easy to fall in love.”
Congratulations to the couple! Best wishes on their marriage! In other news, a famous actress just gave birth at age 54.
