Barbra Streisand Complains That Trump Is Hurting Hollywood

Award-winning singer and actress Barbra Streisand is among a unique group of celebrities: Those who said they’d flee America if Donald Trump got elected. That group includes Jon Stewart, Jennifer Lawrence, Whoopi Goldberg, Rosie O’Donnell, George Lopez, Amber Rose, Raven-Symoné, Spike Lee, Stephen King, Chelsea Handler, Samuel L. Jackson, Cher, Amy Schumer, Lena Dunham, Miley Cyrus, and Rev. Al Sharpton, according to Newsday.

Those celebrities all have something else in common. They’ve continued to publicly bash, deride, and demean President Trump over the past year from inside the borders of our country.

When asked in September why she hadn’t left yet, according to The Hill, Cyrus eloquently replied, “I’m not [expletive] leaving the country. That’s ignorant [expletive]. That’s dumb.”

“Because that’s me abandoning my country when I think I’ve got a good thing to say to my country. And trust me, I hear every day on my Instagram, ‘Just leave already! When are you going to leave?’ Well, that’s not going to be any good,” she continued, not adding that Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter would work in many other parts of the planet she could resettle in.

Streisand, who hasn’t taken up permanent residence in another country yet either, wrote on Twitter Thursday that Trump’s new tax plan — which he recently signed — would hurt people in Hollywood, among others.

She also added a more direct attack on Trump and his administration.

Fox News points out that Streisand has used Twitter to slam Trump a number of times recently, calling him ignorant, stupid, and in need of being impeached. Trump supporters on Twitter were quick to reply to Streisand’s criticism of Trump’s tax plan.
