Congrats are in order for the Bush family! Over the weekend, former President George W. Bush's daughter, Barbara Bush, was married in a secret ceremony!
Barbara Bush married screenwriter Craig Louis Coyne on Sunday, October 8. George W. Bush, Laura Bush, George H.W. Bush, and Jenna Bush were all in attendance at the small, private ceremony.
According to PEOPLE, the couple's ceremony only included 20 family members. It was held at the Bush family compound in Maine overlooking the ocean.
The family released a statement following the special wedding.
They wrote, "The couple exchanged vows in a private family ceremony at Walker's Point in Kennebunkport, Maine, on Sunday."
They continued, "The bride wore an ivory silk crepe Vera Wang custom gown and was escorted by her father and grandfather. The wedding was officiated by the bride's aunt, Dorothy Bush Koch."
Barbara called the wedding "a very short, sweet ceremony."
Though her grandmother, former First Lady Barbara Bush, passed away last spring, the bride decided to wear something in her honor.
Barbara wrote, "It's really sweet. The 'something borrowed' that I'm wearing is this bracelet that my grandfather gave to my grandmother on their 70th anniversary."
Congrats to the happy couple and the entire Bush family! Share your congratulations here. In other recent news, a TV star just died after suddenly collapsing on a desk. Please keep her family in your prayers.
