Over the last several weeks, an award-winning singer has been on a major generous streak. Drake, a Grammy-Award winning singer who constantly tops the charts, has been donating to several charities.
According to TIME, Drake has donated more than a hundred thousand dollars in checks recently to various organizations. The majority of his giving took place while he was in Miami filming a music video for his latest hit, "God's Plan."
According to one report, the singer gave a check to a women's homeless shelter for $50,000. Later, he gave another $50,000 check to a specific student at the University of Miami's Frost School of Music.
The generosity didn't stop there, however. He gave an additional $25,000 to a Miami-based high school where he was filming part of his music video. Beyond that, he gifted the school uniforms created by his own fashion brand, OVO.
The following day, Drake's giving continued. He was shopping at a grocery store, Sabor Tropical Supermarket. He decided that instead of only buying his groceries, he would buy everyone's in the store!
Overall, the artist ended up spending around $50,000 in the grocery store that day, and hundreds of lucky shoppers had their food paid for.
Several of the beneficiaries of Drake's generosity posted on social media to thank the singer.
