A stunning news story is recently made headlines after a famous musician was found dead. Tim Bergling, best known as DJ Avicii, has died at the age of 28.
"Tim Bergling, the Swedish EDM DJ and producer, known as Avicii, died Friday at the age of 28, his representative confirmed," reported Rolling Stone.
A representative for Avicii released the following statement:
"It is with profound sorrow that we announce the loss of Tim Bergling, also known as Avicii. He was found dead in Muscat, Oman this Friday afternoon local time, April 20th. The family is devastated and we ask everyone to please respect their need for privacy in this difficult time. No further statements will be given."
Avicci was well-known around the world. His iconic style of music catapulted him to one of the bets DJ performers alive. He played numerous clubs and venues, mostly creating electronic dance music.
"One of EDM's most popular acts, Bergling found crossover success with his 2011 hit 'Levels,' an Etta James-sampling smash that went platinum in the United States and topped the singles charts in dozens of countries. 'Wake Me Up' followed two years later, with the Aloe Blacc-featuring single peaking at Number Four on the Hot 100," according to Rolling Stone.
Sadly, there has just been a major update in the case. Multiple news outlets are reporting that Tim died of apparent suicide. His family has since released another statement about the findings.
"Our beloved Tim was a seeker, a fragile artistic soul searching for answers to existential questions. An over-achieving perfectionist who traveled and worked hard at a pace that led to extreme stress. When he stopped touring, he wanted to find a balance in life to be happy and be able to do what he loved most — music. He really struggled with thoughts about Meaning, Life, Happiness. He could not go on any longer. He wanted to find peace. Tim was not made for the business machine he found himself in; he was a sensitive guy who loved his fans but shunned the spotlight. Tim, you will forever be loved and sadly missed. The person you were and your music will keep your memory alive. We love you, Your family."
