Our nation was shaken on October 1st, when 64-year-old Stephen Paddock shot and killed 58 people and injured more than 500 others in Las Vegas—now one of the deadliest shootings in American history. After the gunman opened fire from his hotel room on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, dozens of loved ones were lost, leaving many hearts broken across the country.

The attack was aimed below at a country music event, the Route 91 Harvest Festival, which contained several parents, couples, friends, and children. Paddock also shot and killed himself before authorities arrived at his location.

Unfortunately, Paddock’s motive for the shooting remains unknown as of late December.

However, new details were released in the case on Thursday, December 21st. The coroner’s report revealed the final cause of death for all 58 victims, reported Fox News.

Prior to the autopsy results being released, it was unclear if all victims died from gunshot wounds directly or were somehow injured and killed during the chaos of trying to escape. The coroner’s report confirmed that all 58 people died from gunshot wounds.

Fox also stated that Paddock’s autopsy showed he died of a single gunshot wound to the mouth. His death was officially ruled as a suicide.

These new details come shortly after information was released to the public about the shooter’s $5 million estate.

Please continue to pray for the families affected by this tragedy. In other recent news, a 14-year-old girl was found following a nationwide Amber Alert.
