At Least 2 Packages Containing Toxic Compound Sent to Pentagon, FBI Responding

At least two packages delivered to the Pentagon mail facility has initially tested positive for a highly toxic compound, reported CNN.

Ricin is a highly toxic compound that is extracted from castor beans. It has been used in terror plots.

The package arrived in a remote mail facility. The building is on the grounds of the Pentagon, but the piece of mail never entered the Pentagon building.

The FBI and the Pentagon Force Protection agency are responding and further testing is expected to be done by the FBI, the officials said.
