At Least 20 Dead, Dozens Injured After 2 Passenger Trains Collide Head-On

A breaking report is coming out of Egypt this morning. Two passengers trains are reported to have collided head-on in northern Egypt.

“One train was traveling from Cairo and the other from Port Said when they hit head-on in the northern coastal city of Alexandria,” local media report.

At this time, local officials are still trying to determine what caused the trains to collide in this horrible accident. Emergency crews and personnel are also on the scene helping the victims.

According to the BBC, footage from media stations in Egypt appears to show one of the trains partly keeled over in the crash, with emergency services transferring the injured to ambulances.
