The Independent reported that Lakdim was shot down by police amid the chaos.

According to a Fox News video, the suspect yelled “Allahu Akbar” at some point during the attack, which is an Islamic phrase that means “God is greater” or “God is the greatest.” ISIS did claim that the 25-year-old was one of their "soldiers."
