A terrifying incident emerged out of Peoria, Arizona on Monday, May 7th. A statewide AMBER ALERT was issued for a 2-year-old girl, Khaleesi Morales, after she was taken from her home. (Note: An earlier version of this article reported she was 1; police later confirmed the child is actually 2).

The suspect, 31-year-old Luis Morales, is Khaleesi’s biological father. However, he is currently under an Order of Protection, which states he is not allowed to go to the address where Khaleesi, her brother, and mother live. He is also forbidden to have any contact with the residents, according to MissingKids.org. The reasoning for the protection order was not given.

Morales reportedly opened a window and broke the screen to get inside of the house. In the process, he stepped on his son’s hand and assaulted the children’s mother — Yesenia Torres.

He then took his infant daughter and escaped with Yesenia’s car — a grey or silver 2016 Toyota Camry with Arizona license plate number CBS3780. (Note: The vehicle below is a photo of the make and model, not the actual vehicle from the AMBER ALERT).

The suspect and child were missing for several hours before authorities were able to locate the two.

Fortunately, little Khaleesi was found safe and unharmed. Her biological father has been taken into custody, reported Fox 10.

This story is developing and will be updated if more information is released to the public. Thank you for your prayers!
