On Saturday, January 12, Bachelor nation celebrated the wedding of two of the show’s former contestants. Former Bachelor Arie Luyendyk Jr. married Lauren Burnham in Maui, Hawaii.

The couple garnered national attention last year during their dramatic season on the Bachelor. On the reality TV show, Arie was expected to date 30 girls that he would eventually narrow down as time went on.

At the end of the reality TV show, the star of the season will typically propose to the girl that he has fallen in love with. The runner up goes home in a tear-filled goodbye. In Arie’s case, however, things ended a bit differently.

Arie broke up with Lauren in the final episode and instead proposed to another woman. After the show aired, however, fans found out about a dramatic turn of events that took place weeks after Arie made his decision. He decided that he had made the wrong decision, broke up with his fiancé, and ran back to Lauren.

Arie went back to Lauren, and after dating for a couple of months, the couple got engaged on national television. Now, the couple is married! Beyond that, they are reportedly expecting a baby girl this June!

Arie and Lauren got married at Haiku Mill in Maui, Hawaii. Bachelor host Chris Harrison officiated the wedding.

A few days before their wedding, Arie and Lauren arrived in Hawaii. They posted several photos with a beautiful Maui rainbow in the background.

Arie wrote, “Life with you is all sunsets and rainbows. We’re getting married tomorrow!”

Lauren wrote, “Fairytales do come true!”

Congrats to the couple on their beautiful wedding! Had you heard about their dramatic love story? Let us know! In other recent news, a legendary Christian singer just said a tearful goodbye to his wife of 65 years. Please keep him in your prayers during this time.
