Ari Lennox Says She’s Being Silenced After Amsterdam Arrest – It’s Painful
Ari LennoxAlthough she feels she has more to add about her arrest in Amsterdam, she says she is being silenced.
Last month LennoxShe was detained in the country for allegedly racial profiling. “I’m being arrested in Amsterdam for reacting to a woman racially profiling me,” LennoxAt the time, I wrote this tweet before I said: “F*ck Amsterdam security. They hate black people.”

Although there were no additional details at the time, the tweet from the singer stated that she was allegedly arrested on suspicion of public drunkenness. On Saturday (December 4th), the “Shea Butter Baby” singer took to Instagram to express how she was safe and would love to tell her side of the story but she is being silenced by KLM.

So far AriShe spoke only about her original claims, but the London-based news outlet Reuters later reported that Dutch military police arrested Lennox for disturbing public order, after she allegedly accused KLM Royal Dutch Airlines staff of racial discrimination.
In a statement following the incident, a KLM spokesperson told The Guardian,
“There was an altercation … about seeing her identification. The lady didn’t show the correct document. When the employee confronted her, she drew the wrong conclusions.”
The report also stated that LennoxThe police were investigating claims that there had been threats to the lives of the officers. LennoxBoth before and during her arrest. Ari has not yet responded to these allegations.
