Arby’s Employee Refuses To Serve Police Officer, Gives THIS Excuse

This past Tuesday, another form of cruelty towards police officers took place in Florida when Police Sergeant, Jennifer Martin, pulled through the drive-thru of a local Arby’s.

According to a Fox news article, as officer Martin went to pay for her order, employee Kenneth Davenport refused to ring up her order.

The manager, Angel Mirabal, stepped forward and told the officer that Davenport “doesn’t want to serve you because you are a police officer”.  Eventually officer Martin received her food.  But the exchange with the Arby’s employees left her feeling uncomfortable and skeptical about whether her food had been tampered with.  She returned the food and got a refund.

The next day her department sent out a tweet about the incident.  The department chief called the incident “unacceptable” and said, “I am offended and appalled that an individual within our community would treat a police officer in such a manner.”

The news spread across the country and sparked fierce outrage.  Arby’s quickly jumped on top of the situation.  They fired Mirabal and suspended Davenport.

Mirabal claimed that it was a misunderstanding and that Davenport was attempting to make a joke.  According to CBS, Davenport refused to explain the “joke” and attempted to turn his suspension into a racial issue by saying, “There’s no point in talking.  I’m 19.  She’s an officer and I’m colored.”

Police officers around the country are fighting for their livelihoods and even their lives.  The liberal media has scrutinized every police involved shooting, no matter if the officer was justified or not.  The ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement publicly marches and calls for officers to be killed.

With this violent attitude towards police officers nationwide, there is no room for such an insensitive “joke”.  We as Americans need to rally behind our police officers.  They are heroes who put their lives on the line every single day for our safety.
