Anyone who has been lucky enough to visit Sight & Sound knows that it's an unparalleled experience. The animals running up and down the aisle of the theater, the amazing sets, and the smell of roasting almonds all contribute to the enjoyment.
Now, for three days only, families that can't make it to the Sight & Sound theaters in Branson, Missouri, or Lancaster, Pennsylvania, can get part of that experience in a movie theater in their hometown.
Thursday, September 13, Saturday, September 15, and Thursday, September 20, MOSES is coming to a theater near you. This musical, which was filmed in front of a live audience at Sight & Sound Theatres, is an original stage production by the Christian theater.
"Set adrift as a baby and now wandering in the wilderness, Moses is one unlikely hero—until God calls him into action. From the Nile River to the Red Sea, journey with Moses as he leads God’s people on an amazing adventure toward the Promised Land," reads the show's synopsis.
Nearly 2 million people have seen and loved MOSES. Now even more people will be able to enjoy it without having to travel. A list of the movie theaters where it's playing can be found here.
MOSES is suitable for the entire family. Sight & Sound brings scripture to life in a beautiful and engaging way without falling into the trap of changing scripture.
Sight & Sound Theatres has been using the stage to bring to life the epics of the Bible for 42 years. The family-owned business had humble origins, but it's grown to be so much more.
In 1964, it all started with Glenn Eshelman using a slide projector to show his photography, accompanied by a turntable for music and a microphone for narration. That first unofficial "Sight & Sound" show was a success that set Eshelman and his family on the path to creating the theater that people from all over the world visit today.
Today, the still family-owned theater aims to bring families closer together by drawing them further into scripture. Watch the trailer below for a glimpse of this amazing show.
