Comedian Amy Schumer has been hospitalized. The pregnant actress checked herself into the hospital after she grew concerned about her symptoms.
According to TMZ, she feared pregnancy complications, so she had to cancel an upcoming comedy gig.
Sources close to the comedian told TMZ that she was taken to a Texas hospital Thursday for nausea. This is a common issue during the second trimester of a pregnancy although less common than during the first trimester.
Amy and baby are okay and healthy. She just wanted to check with a doctor to be sure that everything was on track.
She wrote on her Instagram:
"Texas I am so deeply sorry. I have been really looking forward to these shows. I have to reschedule. I am in the hospital. I’m fine. Baby’s fine but everyone who says the 2nd trimester is better is not telling the full story. I’ve been even more ill this trimester. I have hyperemesis and it blows. Very lucky to be pregnant but this is some bullshit! Sending so much love to the doctors and nurses taking great care of me and Tati! They are cool as hell! And Texas I am really really sorry and I’ll be out there as soon as I’m better."
Schumer was scheduled to perform Thursday at Winspear Opera House, but that show has been canceled.
This is Schumer's second hospitalization this year. In April, she was treated for a severe kidney infection.
In late October, Schumer announced that she and husband Chris Fischer are expecting their first child together. No other details about the baby are known as of yet.
Please pray for health for Schumer and her baby. In other news, Melania Trump responded with fire after Michelle Obama criticized her for not asking for her help on how to be the first lady.
