Amy Schumer claims that she received death threats following a joke about the Oscars.
Howard Stern was told by her that she received death threats. “The Secret Service reached me.”
Schumer claimed that “they were so bad that the Secret Service reached out to, yeah about that bit.” “I’m like, ‘I think you have a wrong number. This is Amy, not Will [Smith]. You must have the incorrect number. It’s not that I want Will to be threatened with death, but the misogyny in this situation is shocking. She said they were so serious and that they were so many.”
Schumer joked that Kirsten Dunst was a seat filler at the 94th Academy Awards. She was sitting with Jesse Plemons, her husband from “Power of the Dog”.
Schumer said to the camera, “Here’s an empty seat.” “Honey honey, would you like the bathroom?”
She continued, “Jesse. You were my love in ‘Power of the Dog’,” Schumer said. Plemons replied, “You know, that wasn’t my wife, Amy.”
