“Teen Mom” star Amber Portwood, 29, has been arrested again. According to PEOPLE, the reality television personality was arrested and charged with domestic battery early Friday morning.
She allegedly assaulted her boyfriend, Andrew Glennon, while he was holding their 1-year-old son James Glennon. Portwood also has a 10-year-old girl named Leah from her previous relationship with ex Gary Shirley, who confirmed that their daughter was not present at the time of the incident.
“Just after 3:00 a.m., on 7.5.2019, officers were called to [address] reference a disturbance. Officers spoke to the male victim who stated his live-in-girlfriend and he were having a disagreement,” a statement said. “During which time the female, later identified as Amber Portwood assaulted him, while he was holding their one-year-old child.
“Officers spoke to Amber Portwood at the scene. She was subsequently arrested for her alleged actions in this incident,” the statement concluded.
This is not the first time that Portwood has been arrested for related charges. In a similar 2010 incident with the father of her first child, Portwood served 17 months in jail. On the show, she admitted to struggling with postpartum depression, cyberbullying, and mental illnesses.
