The search for 11-year-old Amberly Barnett has, unfortunately, reached a truly tragic ending. Amberly first went missing from her aunt’s house Collinsville, Alabama on Friday, March 1st. Her sudden disappearance sparked an overnight search for the young girl.
Sadly, her body was found in the woods behind the home around 6:30 AM on Saturday morning. Few details were immediately released about her death, but local authorities did say that it was “brutal.”
The community is shuddered by this mysterious, unsolved case.
Currently, the only lead that police have is a report from a family member noting that a dark-colored SUV was parked near the house at the time of Amberly’s disappearance. However, the SUV has not been confirmed.
Amberly’s mother is absolutely devastated.
“Nobody should bury their 11-year-old child,” Amberly’s mother, Jonie Barnett, stated. “Nobody should have hurt her.”
An investigation is underway. As more details emerge, this story will be updated accordingly.
Please keep Amberly’s friends, family, and loved ones in your prayers during this difficult time. In other recent news, a rock and roll icon recently suffered a stroke and is also in need of prayer.
