Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a 1-month-old girl they believe was taken by a dangerous abductor. They have issued an official AMBER Alert.

1-month-old baby girl Gionna Harter disappeared Thursday morning and is believed to be in the company of her homeless mother, who does not have legal custody of her, according to Local SYR. 31-year-old Katrina Harter was supposed to relinquish custody of her child to another party via a court order. The reason why was not provided.

Police do believe Gionna is in imminent — and possibly grave — danger from Katrina and are desperate to rescue her soon.

Gionna was last seen at her home in Montour Falls, New York, more than 75 miles south of Rochester and Syracuse. Katrina was last spotted in Geneva, 35 miles north of Montour Falls, according to local NBC affiliate WFRZ.

Gionna is 18 inches long and weighs nine pounds. She is black and has black hair and brown eyes.

Katrina is five feet, three inches tall and weighs 322 pounds. She is black and has black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a blue shirt.

No vehicle description has been provided.

Please pray for Gionna’s safe rescue, keep an eye out for her and her mother, and share this post. In other news, a dam collapse has taken the lives of numerous people and wiped out a town.
