After Public Uproar Over What She Wore, Caitlyn Jenner Issues an Apology

Last week, Caitlyn Jenner was spotted wearing a “Make America Great Again hat while driving her Malibu home. This shocked observers, especially in the aftermath of President Trump’s announcement that he would ban transgendered persons from serving in the armed forces.

Jenner, who voted for Donald Trump, recently withdrew her support after Trump’s twitter announcement that transgender people will not be able to serve in the military. She wrote that she was “outraged” by the announcement.

Apparently, Caitlyn Jenner was not wearing the hat to make any sort of statement. One report writes that Jenner simply had the hat in her car and wanted to wear it while she was driving in order to protect her hair. She then left her purse in Starbucks, panicked, and then ran into the coffee shop still wearing the hat, thinking that nobody would see her.

How did the hat get into her car? The Huffington Post writes that she rummaged through about ten hats in her closet that morning and grabbed one without looking. It was after she had gotten into her car that she realized what she had done. But because she didn’t think anybody would see, she put on the hat anyway.

This is when the paparazzo snagged her in a picture.

Jenner has made clear that, despite wearing the hate, she does not support Donald Trump.

“I apologize to all of the trans community,” Jenner said according to the Huffington Post. “I made a mistake. I will never do it again and I’m getting rid of the hat.”

The controversy all started when Jenner was seen riding in her car with a Trump hat. Liberals were outraged, which you can read about here
