It has been reported that Keith Olbermann, the anti-Trump political commentator, announced on Monday that he is calling it quits. Olbermann, a former MSNBC Host, first made the announcement of his coming retirement in his final episode of "The Resistance," a political commentary show sponsored by GQ.

In his announcement, Olbermann made clear that disgust over President Trump, including his "Pocahontas" comment aimed at Senator Elizabeth Warren, played a critical part in his decision to leave the world of political commentary. He claims that the joke aimed at Senator Warren, as well as the other actions pursued by President Trump since ascending to the presidency, have caused him "pain," "revulsion," and "horror."

“As, I’m certain, it has also been for you, for me it has been unadulterated pain and revulsion and horror."

According to Olbermann, his job in political commentary is now done, and he can now retire in peace. According to the Daily Caller,  Olbermann claims that Trump's demise as President of the United States is inevitable, and his untelevised political commentary show — streamed on Youtube without pay — will play a critical role in taking Trump down.

“I’ve made my point…I’d like to go back and enjoy some of my life again,” said Olbermann, later adding that “I am retiring from political commentary in all media venues.”

He continued, “I am confident now, even more so than I have been throughout the last year, that this nightmare presidency of Donald John Trump will end prematurely and end soon, and I am thus also confident that this it the correct moment to end this series of commentaries."

The Huffington Post reports that Olbermann's political commentary for GQ has been "for free and for charity."

In a series of tweets, Olbermann added that he thought that Trump "was finished" after cracking a joke at Senator Elizabeth Warren, which liberals interpreted as a "racial slur."

Conservatives have been cheering the announcement made by Olbermann. Donald Trump Jr., for instance, went to Twitter to announce that conservatives are "winning."
