An extremely successful actor has just passed away after suffering a major heart attack. Julio Oscar Mechoso died on November 25, 2017, at the age of 62.
Julio was best known as an amazing character actor. His long, and successful career, has included roles on major hit shows and films. He has appeared in "Coach," "Miami Vice," "Seinfeld," "Grey’s Anatomy," "Ghost Whisperer," "Without a Trace," "Nip/Tuck," "CSI," and "The Big Bang Theory."
The Miami native made his debut in acting in 1979. He was respected for his craft and praised for his ability to perform as both a dramatic actor and a comedy actor. He appeared in numerous films, including "Little Miss Sunshine" and "Jurassic Park III."
“He was a utility player who could do anything, be a lead in a sitcom like 'Greetings From Tucson' and then a vicious Mexican narco-trafficker in Kingpin and then a quirky demon who works part-time as a limo driver taking souls to Hell in 'From Dusk Till Dawn,'" producer Juan Carlos Coto told the Miami Herald. “He played them all with such spirit and such life that you just couldn’t stop watching him.”
Please join us in sending our prayers to Julio's family and friends during this tough time. We ask for God's grace to comfort them as they deal with this untimely tragedy.
