November 16, 2017Nov 16, 2017

Update: According to ABC 7, we now know that the victims of this shooting were a brother and sister. The brother was driving and was shot in the head. The bullet exited through his eye. The sister was grazed by a bullet in the shoulder. Both of them, despite being injured, are expected to survive the injuries. Several bullet holes are covering the vehicle.

Police are still searching for a four-door gray Honda Sedan, which the victim fled from the crime scene in. There doesn't appear to be any reason for this crime. Rather, the shooter appeared to be engaging in an effort to kill people within a confined area of the population. This story was not widely reported on by the national news media, although it constitutes one of many shootings that occur in the United States on a regular basis.

ABC 7 News has reported that a shooter was spotted on Thursday morning. A driver and a passenger were both injured in the shooting along the westbound 210 Freeway near Fontana, California. The shooting occurred around 7 am near the 15 Freeway interchange.

The two people who were victims of this shooting did not immediately die but were swiftly transported to a local hospital. At least one person was injured from the wounds, although their condition is not immediately released to the press. Details surrounding the story are scarce, although ABC News reports that the vehicle hit with the bullets was a dark-colored Honda.

An investigation is currently underway near the Cherry Avenue exit. The right lane is currently closed, thereby allowing investigators to look at the crime scene to investigate what happened.  It is expected that additional lanes will be shut down as authorities continue to investigate the scene of the crime.

SBSUN reports that the victim pulled over near Cherry Avenue and was then taken to the local hospital. It is unclear whether the man was struck in the face by gunfire or by shards of glass. There is video from the scene which shows that several bullet holes are in the windshield and driver's side window.

The shooter quickly fled the scene in what was described by SBSUN as a gray Honda Accord.

Currently, investigators have not been able to figure out a motive for the shooting. They only know that the event took place and that the shooter quickly fled the scene. This story is developing. Please check back later for more details.
