Famous singer Aaron Carter has reportedly agreed to check into a rehab facility in regards to drug usage. According to TMZ, this came only one day after cops went to Carter’s home for a welfare check following concerns about the pop singer being high.
TMZ confirmed a statement from one of Carter’s representatives, "Aaron has decided to enter a facility to improve his health and work on his overall wellness. He is going to do this privately and focus all his attention on being the best person and performer possible."
Additionally, Carter sent out a series of tweets to his fans, informing them that this was the best decision and it is not his family’s choice. His fans, who primarily consists of children and teenagers, supported his decision and are looking forward to him returning on tour next year.
This news also comes shortly after police visited Carter’s home multiple times in a 24-hour period in early September. The cop visits were related to concerns about Carter’s substance abuse and him possibly posing a threat to himself and others.
The once teen heartthrob, who has recently made a comeback in his music career, also made major headlines this year for a number of reasons. Earlier in 2017, Carter was arrested for driving under the influence and possession of drugs, revealed to his fans that he is bi-sexual, cried during an interview while discussing his insecurities, had to deal with his father passing away, and has been involved in a few family feud incidents.
