Beloved actor Luke Perry passed away on Monday. He was best-known for his role on "Beverly Hills, 90210," but he was currently playing Archie Andrew's father on the hit show "Riverdale."
On Wednesday, "Riverdale" showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa revealed how the show plans to honor Perry, who died unexpectedly after a stroke. The CWs "Riverdale" is dedicating Wednesday's episode to Luke Perry after his death.
Aguirre-Sacasa took to Instagram to share a touching photo of Perry with the show's cast. He revealed that the picture was taken when the show started filming.
"Going through pictures on my way to set. From the early days. With Luke in the middle," Aguirre-Sacasa wrote. "Our heart, always. Tonight's episode of #Riverdale finds Fred doing what he does best — helping Archie. It is dedicated to Luke, as all episodes will be for the rest of our run."
His "Riverdale" co-stars and crew members have been honoring and remembering Perry since his death. Lili Reinhart, who plays Betty on the show, penned an emotional poem about losing a loved one.
She wrote, "We always expect the earth to stand still. For the universe to grieve the loved ones we have lost, along with us," she wrote. "But it keeps moving. Maybe as a sign that we should too. The movement of strangers, like a wave, taking us with them."
Please join us in praying for everyone who is missing Perry. Pray that God will comfort them in their loss.
