After years of playing a dad and the beloved Uncle Jesse on "Full House," John Stamos is finally celebrating the role of father in real life. He did that by sharing the first full photo of his 2-month-old son, Billy.
“My first Father’s Day means that I don’t have to hand a kid back to the parents when someone yells cut. It means when people ask me if I’m a father, I don’t have to use the goofy line, ‘No, but I play one on TV,’” mused Stamos on Instagram along with a photo of him and his son.
“My first Father’s Day means that from this day forward— I will start to look my age (and older). Most importantly, it means that for the rest of my life, I’ll always be known as someone’s dad. And that’s all I ever wanted. Happy Father’s day,” he added.
William "Billy" Christopher was born on April 10 to Stamos and his wife Caitlin McHugh, reported People. McHugh also took the time to celebrate Stamos in an Instagram post on Father's Day.
“Happy 1st Father’s Day to the best new daddy! I knew you’d be a great father, but you’ve exceeded expectations. You change diapers! Lol, and so much more, of course. We love you most,” McHugh wrote.
Last month, Stamos posted an equally touching post for his wife. He gushed over his beautiful wife.
#HappyFirstMothersDay/Birthday !! As if it were even possible, when you became a mother, you became even more beautiful. You’ve brought more love and joy to my life than I ever imagined. Thank you from the luckiest guy on the planet. XOJS"
