Actress Maura Tierney, who was one of the stars of the popular hospital drama "ER," had a trip to the hospital on Monday. She was riding her bike by the ocean when a car crashed into her, reported TMZ.

The actress was biking Marina del Rey at around noon when a car clipped her back tire, sending her tumbling to the ground.

Tierney, who is now the star of the show "The Affair" was clearly hurt by the bike crash. She laid on the grown until the paramedics arrived to treat her.

According to TMZ, she told the EMTs that she was experiencing back pain. Paramedics placed her in a neck brace, and they took on her a stretcher. She was taken a nearby hospital.

This was not a hit-and-run situation. The driver who hit her bike remained at the scene.

According to TMZ, the cops believe the driver was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs. It was simply an unfortunate accident.

TMZ confirmed that she's received treatment at the hospital. They cannot confirm if she has been released or the extent of her injuries. In other news, Melania looked just lovely in colorful silk on Monday to meet the Kenyan President and First Lady. You have to see her skirt!
