Jussie Smollett may have been indicted for orchestrating a fake hate crime, but that doesn't appear to mean his career is over. Since the charges were unexpectedly dropped against Smollett—for reasons unknown but not because he was innocent—Hollywood is accepting him back.

According to his "Empire" costar Taraji P. Henson, Smollett will return to "Empire" if the show comes back for a sixth season, reported TMZ.

Taraji shared the unexpected news on Thursday while on "The View." Joy Behar asked if Jussie's was going to be on the show.

Taraji didn't hesitate in responding. She replied, "Yes. I haven't heard anything else."

The fifth season of "Empire" wrapped up last week. However, there's been no official word on whether the show, which has lower ratings, will get a sixth season.

Are you surprised that Smollett will probably get to be on his show again? Let us know in the comments.
