‘Dirty Jobs’ Host Gives Nordstrom’s $425 Pre-Mud-Stained Jeans Best Smackdown Ever

After dropping Ivanka Trump’s fashion line because they determined it wouldn’t sell well, Nordstrom is now selling pre-mud-stained jeans.

Yes, they’re real:

For a mere $425, you, too, can don this “rugged Americana workwear...that shows you're not afraid to get down and dirty.”

Not surprisingly, both the concept and the hefty price tag are getting a massive amount of ridicule, including from “Dirty Jobs” host Mike Rowe.

According to Yahoo! Style, Rowe, an advocate of hard-working Americans, wrote on his Facebook page that Nordstrom’s jeans are “further proof that our country’s war on work continues to rage in all corners of polite society.”

“‘Rugged Americana’ is now synonymous with a ‘caked-on, muddy coating,’” he continued. “Not real mud. Fake mud. Something to foster the illusion of work. The illusion of effort. Or perhaps, for those who actually buy them, the illusion of sanity.”

“They’re not even fashion,” he added. “They’re a costume for wealthy people who see work as ironic — not iconic.”

But if $425 is too much to spend to look like you rolled down a muddy hill, you can save $50 and get the “Mudslinging Windsor Skinny Fit Overalls” instead to satisfy your preference for “rugged workwear style for the street-savvy aesthete.”

We had to look it up. According to Dictionary.com, “aesthete” describes “a person who has or professes to have refined sensitivity toward the beauties of art or nature.”

Here are four more jeans Nordstrom is expecting to sell better than Ivanka’s products:
