The very first "American Idol" winner, Kelly Clarkson, became an overnight sensation when her journey on the show began. Since then, she has gone on to create multiple albums and has won a plethora of awards and honors.

Though she has seen a vast amount of success, it was made evident in her recent interview that Clarkson still has her priorities in order. The singer revealed that her house was recently burglarized and vandalized, but her main concern was still about her family instead of her possessions.

Clarkson revealed that she came back to her L.A. home last Wednesday to find that it had been broken in to. She had just finished her memorable "Carpool Karaoke" segment and had a fun few days planned.

Clarkson was set to receive the Powerhouse Award at the 2017 Billboard Women in Music Awards. While at the event, "Extra's" Renee Bargh interviewed the singer. Bargh began congratulating Clarkson on all of her recent success.

35-year-old Clarkson replied, "Other than we got robbed last night...Yeah, it was crazy, we got here and our whole house was like bashed in, it was crazy."

When asked if any of her valuable possessions had been taken, Clarkson replied, "Materialistic things we didn't care about, the guy was in our kid's room...so it was a little weird, other than that everyone is safe and good."

The singer continued, "Other than that little hiccup everything has been really great in our lives, and we're very blessed and grateful. Even in that scenario, we weren't in the house, which is a blessing."

Later, Clarkson opened up to ET Online about the situation.

She said, "Luckily, we weren't there- and somebody was supposed to be there at the time that we were robbed. We caught in on camera, but it was just one of those things that sucked, you know? Somebody was in your kid's room and ransacked our whole room and closet and everything, and that's never a good feeling."

"Honestly, it's my third time in life [being] robbed, but I think it's different when you have kids," she continued. "It's a different level of 'Ugh.' We're blessed we weren't home. It definitely sucks and it's good that our two older kids weren't with us and our two younger kids don't really get it."

Thankfully, Clarkson and her family are safe and she has not let this get her down. In other recent news, Ivanka Trump has been facing major criticism for her recent outfit choices.
