'Alaskan Bush People' Star in Mourning After Devastating Loss

The sad news was just confirmed that “Alaskan Bush People” matriarch Ami Brown is suffering from a loss. According to reports, Brown’s mother, Earlene Branson, has passed away.

Brown revealed that her mother passed away earlier this month. The two had an estranged relationship for the last several years. Sadly, the pair did not reconcile before Branson passed away.

A source said, “Ami is rather upset about this because she never got the opportunity to reconcile with her mom, who tried for years and years to see her daughter.”

They continued, “There is nothing that she can do. It’s too late. She’s gone.”

Earlene Branson died on November 9 at her home in Texas. She was 85 years old. Branson’s obituary reportedly mentioned Ami.

It said, “[Branson’s] daughter Ami Brown is a star of the hit television show ‘Alaskan Bush People,’ which airs on the Discovery Channel.”

In recent years, Brown was reportedly supposed to visit her mother while her husband, Billy, was on a book tour. Brown’s brother, Les, believes that Billy was the main reason that Ami hadn’t reached out to her mother or brother. Ami and Billy got married in 1979 when Ami was only 15 years old.

Les said, “Billy started acting very controlling of Ami from the very beginning. I realized that Ami never spoke, Billy did all the talking. She would just kind of sit there beside him smiling. I didn’t realize it then, but she wasn’t allowed to speak. She couldn’t speak without his permission!”

Regardless of the reason, Ami was never able to reconcile her relationship with her mother. Now, she has lost the chance and is mourning her devastating loss.
