Christina Rees, Labour MP For Neath, has been stripped of the Labour whip in Westminster as the party investigates reports made by the Guardianas bullying allegations against her staff.
In a statement, Ms Rees said, “There has been a complaint made against me to the Labour party, which is under investigation, and I am therefore under an administrative suspension until the process is concluded”.
Ms Rees stated that she was not aware of the details of her complaint.
Her suspension from the parliamentary party follows that of Conor Burns, Conservative MP. Mr Burns was stripped from the Conservative party whip last week at Westminster, but he stated again that he had not been informed the details about the complaint.
